あまあま (Ama-ama)

Meaning: Sweet-tasting or overly sweet in demeanor.

  • Example Sentences:
    • このケーキはあまあまで、食べ過ぎてしまう。
      • This cake is so sweet that I can't stop eating it.
    • 彼は彼女に対してあまあまな態度をとる。
      • He's so overly sweet to his girlfriend.

Personally, I think some couples might use this word. I haven't heard the meaning used in the first example sentence much in everyday conversation.
