あんぐり (Anguri)

Meaning: Wide open mouth, usually from surprise or shock.

  • Example Sentences:
    • 彼はそのニュースにあんぐりと口を開けていた。
      • He was left with his mouth wide open in shock at the news.
    • あまりの美しさにあんぐりと見とれてしまった。
      • I was left speechless, mouth agape, by the sheer beauty.

Personally, I have never used or heard this word..
