あらかた (Arakata)
Meaning: Mostly or nearly completed.
- Example Sentences:
- あらかたの準備ができました。
- The preparations are mostly complete.
- 仕事があらかた終わったので、早く帰れそうだ。
- Since the work is mostly done, I might be able to leave early.
Personally, I use and hear "daitai" rather than "arakata," but I have heard it before.
