あわあわ (Awa-awa)

Meaning: Flustered or confused, often associated with a panicked state.

  • Example Sentences:
    • 彼女は急な仕事にあわあわとしていた。
      • She was flustered by the sudden workload.
    • あわあわしながら、書類を探していた。
      • He was in a panic, searching for the documents.

Personally, I occasionally hear it in anime, but I’ve never heard it in everyday conversation.
